: (1) The work, duties and powers of the Provincial Market Monitoring Committee established in accordance with sub-section (1) of Section 27 of the Act shall be as follows:-
(a) Conducting regular market monitoring to protect the rights and interests of consumers under the law (b) Effectively implement and carry out monitoring work in accordance with the instructions given by the Government of Nepal, Provincial Government, Council or the Ministry regarding the protection of the rights and interests of consumers, (c) In the course of monitoring the market, if anyone is found to have acted contrary to the Act and these regulations, the department will immediately take action. Or send it in writing to the relevant inspection officer.
(2) Provincial market monitoring committee shall coordinate with the central market monitoring committee and department while monitoring the market.
